Claudia Patrick's "Colors at Night" shines.
In early 2010, Claudia began a new series of architectural night photographs called "Colors at Night." The series grew out of her night work at both the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve and Price Tower. Dwindling light changed the colors of the prairie and the light of the full moon changed the color of the building, revealing amazing architectural features in a stunning, new way. Claudia photographed many of the buildings in downtown Tulsa, exploring the interplay of natural and artificial light and its reflection. The culmination of "Colors at Night" is a 60" X 45" photograph, VEGAS, taken 108 feet above the Las Vegas Strip, under the full Rose Moon.
Our latest newsletter featured Claudia's latest print named FONTAINEBLEAU: a 60" X 40" image of the incomplete $2.5 billion Fontainebleau Las Vegas Resort. A victim of the global recession, this incredible 3,889 room resort development fell into bankruptcy and currently sits empty. Captured at first sunrise, the beautiful blue glass monolith is a study in light play. FONTAINEBLEAU is the first image to emerge out of the "Colors at Night" series. Come by the gallery and see the image, which resembles an abstract painting, for yourself.
